You have them here on our front axle as per the owner's manual. These are gonna be on tire size 245/60-18. Make sure you check the fit guide at etrailer to get the right chains for your tire size. Also, just to clarify, the owner's manual does not recommend using chains on this tire size, but if you do live in a state or an area where you're required to have them legally, these are still gonna be a good option for you. more

Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Titan Chain snow tire chain here on a 2020 Ford Escape. This tire chain is gonna be one of the lighter duty options that we carry here, and that's because it is the roller style, so it's gonna be best suited for lighter snowfall, not necessarily any heavy snowfall, or roads that are mostly compacted ice. Now, if you are driving around on roads that are mostly compacted ice, I highly recommend checking out a square link chain such as the Konig XB16. We put those on here earlier and they fit really well. Now going back into the Titan Chains chains, everything's gonna be made with a manganese nickel alloy, so it's gonna hold up very well against rust and corrosion. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2020 Ford Escape- Video
Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Konig XG12 Pro Snow Tire Chains here on the 2020 Ford Escape. These snow tire chains are going to be a great option for the Ford Escape here just because we do have a very tight wheel well and we can make our connections entirely from outside of the tire. And the self tensioning system here on the front, really seals the deal for me, just knowing that as your tire wears down over time, your fitment changes, the snow tire chain's going to be able to adapt to that and keep up with it. Now the chains themselves are going to be a diamond-patterned square link and they're gonna have these little square studs in the center in the pattern, as it goes around, which is going to give you a nice balance between your start and stop as well as your turning, so you're not having to sacrifice one for the other. And the chains themselves are going to be made of a manganese-nickel alloy, which is gonna hold up very well to rust and corrosion. more

Welcome to etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Konig XB-16 Snow Tire Chain here on a 2020 Ford Escape. These snow tire chains are gonna be an excellent fit for the Ford Escape, they're gonna get you, in my opinion, the best of both worlds between the diamond pattern and the square link, you're gonna get enough traction without losing too much of your turning and without sacrificing your start and stop by getting away from the ladder pattern tire chains. They're gonna come in a pair of two with a plastic hard case, which is really nice. A lot of snow tire chains come with like a real chintzy bag, it tends to rip and tear through the off season when you're just keeping it in storage, so I like that it comes with this, that way, when it's time to put the tire chains back for the year, you can put them in this, set them underneath the backseat or in the garage somewhere, and not have to worry about them tearing through. The chains themselves are gonna be made up of manganese nickel alloy, so they will stand up to rust and corrosion. more

The first thing you wanna do with your chains is lay them out and make sure nothing's twisted up or tangled. These chains do have a habit of getting intermingled with each other in the bag and just getting tangled up. These ones look pretty good, and then we wanna make sure that these cross sections of the chain, they're gonna have a sort of smooth shaped hook, that smooth side face down and the more abrasive side up top away from the tire. more

So for your wide-base tires, your options are a little bit limited for tire chains, these are gonna be great for all around traction, plus, they are extra corrosion resistant for multiple seasons. So if you have a good blend of ice and snow and you want traction for both situations, then this is what I would go with. Now, other options for you would be twist links or V-bar studs, if you're expecting a lot of snow, mud, slush, check out those twist links, if you're expecting mostly ice, check out those V-bar studs. more

What's up Bronco owners today on our 2021 Ford Bronco we're gonna be taking a look at the glacier cable, snow tyre chains. What we have here is a ladder pattern style chain and what that means is we're just gonna have single chains coming all the way across. So this is gonna be a little bit of a rougher ride compared to some non-ladder pattern style because those have cross-chains. So we're never really gonna have full tyre on the ground. That's not really a huge deal because these rollers are gonna make it a lot smooth than some of the bigger links that you may have. So the low carbon steel with the rollers and the cables aren't really going to rust away over time. more

A couple cool things going on. Well, one, we have these little plastic pieces here and you don't really have to worry about these wearing down over time. We do have these little rivets here, so that's gonna prevent that excessive wear whenever we're on maybe just a thinner type of ice. So this can be a pretty nice way of giving you guys a little bit of traction control that we're looking for. What I like about these guys, very, very thick chains here today, 5.56 millimeters, which is great, and they are gonna be the all square chains, so still doing a great job of breaking through that snow and ice that we need them to. However, they're not gonna be too aggressive, making this a lot easier to get on in your garage or your driveway as compared to something like a V-Bar support link, because those V-Bars are great of breaking through that snow and that ice that we're gonna be encountering. more

So here on our 2021 Ford Bronco sport, now this is going to be a really, really nice way of just throwing your chains on in no time flat, probably one of the fastest ways of actually getting this installed, which is great. So if you really don't want to mess around with chains, you're tired of fighting it in that snow and ice, these just might be for you. Gonna make it really easy, throw these on in the morning in no time flat or if we do find ourselves somewhere, needing to throw on chains on the side of the road, really not going to be that much of a hassle, which is great. You do have a manganese nickel steel alloy here, which makes it great and resistant to corrosion. Making sure that our chains are ready to get used for the rest of the seasons. more

Titan Chain Diamond Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2021 Ford F-150- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains here on our 2021 Ford F-150 with tire size 275/60/20. So these particular chains here have what are known as square links. Now, these square links are gonna do an excellent job really biting into that snow and ice to give us the best traction possible. Addition to those square links, these chains also have, what's known as a diamond pattern. Now, the diamond pattern means we have several different cross sections of the chain here spanning the width of our tire. Now, when we compare that to ladder style chains, the diamond pattern here is gonna offer a much greater traction because we're not gonna have those giant lapses and coverage as we do with the ladder chains. more

So if you guys are looking for a decent set of chains to go ahead and give you a lot of traction control, these are going to be a great little setup for yourself. One thing that I like about them, they are self-tensioning and they're really, really easy to actually get installed on here. So next to 12 pro definitely will go to in my mind for a host of different vehicles, and I really do like it here on the Bronco. Now we're not getting that aggressive of a square link though, is the only thing for me. more

I am a big fan of Konig XG-12. Very, very easy to go ahead, put around the back of our wheel and make all of our connections here on the front of our tire. more

Now this is gonna be a very aggressive, great way of getting you through that snow and ice and all that mire. As you guys can probably tell, right out the gate, you are gonna get V-Bar Links, now these are gonna be your most aggressive approach to biting through that snow and ice, while still getting a nice conformed fit to our tire. As you guys can see, it is gonna have that twisted link on the bottom and those V-Bar struts welded on top, that way we are coming through that snow and ice with no problem. more

Now this can be a great way if you are just wanting a nice, lightweight chain on your vehicle today to start either getting you up to code or just a little bit of good traction in that light to medium-duty snow that might be on the ground. Now, the twist link arms, sorry, the square link here today is gonna do a pretty good job of biting through that snow and ice. Now it's definitely not gonna be as aggressive as the twisted link or even of course the V-bar that you can get up there. Now if you are needing those more heavy duty applications, I definitely recommend taking a look at those guys, but if you're in the need, of course, just to get you to compliance or just getting through that small ice and snow, this can be a great little option for ourselves. more
